Capital Football’s representative teams at the National Futsal Championships continued their campaigns at the States Netball and Hockey Centre in Melbourne.
The Under 13 Girls side fell to a narrow 1-0 defeat against a strong Football Victoria White side on Day Two. The team currently sit in third place in what is shaping to be an incredibly competitive competition. Ruby Selkirk leads the way scoring with three to her name so far.
Following a win in their first match, the Under 15 Girls fell to Football NSW Lightning in a tight affair 3-2. They face the ladder leading Football Queensland in their third match, with the winner to end the day on top.
A second day of two game saw the Under 17 Girls, take a win and a loss from two. A 2-1 win over the hosting Football Victoria got the team off to a great start. They ended the day going down in a thriller to Football South Australia, 3-2.
The Open Women Gold went down 8-0 against a professional Football Queensland Maroon side. They back up for their second game of the day, going down 5-1 to a strong Football Victoria Navy team.
The Open Women Blue went two from two on Thursday, after a bye round on Day One. An 8-0 win against Football Queensland White, was backed up a 2-1 win against heavyweights Football NSW.
