Narrabundah Football Club will align their club on Sunday with their Community Football Day at the Narrabundah Fields.
In a first for the club, all Women’s and Men’s matches have been moved to align with each other, ensuring a ‘whole club’ day out at Narrabundah.
The club will be running a Spanish BBQ, selling drinks and the Spanish Australian Club will be at Narrabundah in the afternoon, hand-making Churros on the site.
The event has been well-supported by the visiting Clubs as well as the Spanish-Australian Club and other major sponsors of the club, including Harrington Kibbey Law, the Dock and Two Hands Cafe.
Club Secretary Alex Belperio said it had been a goal of the club to organise the day, and help bring together the two working areas of the club.
“One of our objectives as a committee is to continue to work together wherever possible,” he said.
“Which is often difficult considering Men’s games are Saturday and Women’s are Sundays, so this is a great opportunity for us to bring our women’s and men’s teams together as one Club for a day of football.
“This is a unique weekend for us as we can all come together at our home ground as one club and put on a great day of football that involves multiple clubs, men’s football, women’s football and the local community.”
“It promises to be a good day out with the Spanish BBQ, raffle prizes and the Spanish Australian Club down there cooking Churros for dessert so we’re looking to getting a few people down there to enjoy a fun afternoon of football!”
