A spectacular week on the Gold Coast saw five Capital Football teams take on the best in Futsal from around Australia in the 2026 Mitre National Futsal Championship. There were amazing individual performances, outstanding team displays and plenty of goals.

Our goalkeepers were excellent, our defensive displays rock solid, our creativity sublime, and our finishing top notch. At the end of the Grand Finals, we also had a National Champion with our Under 13 Boys, with the team going undefeated the entire tournament.

Chigozie Ogbonnaya was named joint Tournament MVP for the Under 13’s and was also named in the Junior Team of the Tournament, while Under 13’s Coach Benji Keomanivong was crowned Coach of the Tournament.
