Women’s National Premier League giants Canberra Olympic and Canberra Croatia are set for a seismic cup knockout clash after the duo were paired together in the Women’s Federation Cup Quarter Final draw.
Olympic, who won the league and Grand Final double in 2023, knocked Croatia out at the same stage last year thanks to an extra-time goal from player/coach Nicole Begg in a 2-1 win, and were pulled out of the draw bowl together, with three of last year’s last-eight clashes repeated in 2024.
Indeed, the trio of ties that don’t feature the newcomers, State League White Eagles and Burns FC, are the mirror image of the ties drawn at the Quarter Final stage twelve-months ago.
Cup holders Belconnen United will host Tuggeranong United, beaten finalists Gungahlin United welcome ANU WFC, whilst the winners of White Eagles and Burns FC, who meet in the preliminary Round, play West Canberra Wanderers.
Full details of dates, venues and kick-off times, plus which matches will be chosen for live streaming on BarTV Sports will be announced in due course.
