Capital Football has released the draws for the 2020 National Premier League competitions, with some blockbuster matches to kick off the NPLW, NPL1 & NPL2 seasons.
Belconnen United FC will begin their campaign for a 10th straight NPLW Premiership when they host Monaro Panthers FC at Hawker Football Centre on Saturday afternoon (18 July), with kick-off scheduled for 3pm.
Gungahlin United FC will face Canberra Olympic FC the following day, before Tuggeranong United FC and Woden Weston FC host Canberra United Academy and Canberra Croatia FC respectively. Wagga City Wanderers FC have the bye in Round One.
In the opening match of the 2020 NPL1 season, Canberra Olympic will host Belconnen United in a mouthwatering clash at O’Connor Enclosed on Saturday afternoon (18 July).
Monaro Panthers FC will play host to Canberra Croatia FC under the lights at Riverside Stadium, while defending Champions Gungahlin United will face Woden Weston FC at AIS Synthetic on Sunday afternoon (19 July).
Later that afternoon, Tuggeranong United FC will make the difficult road trip to Cooma’s Nijong Oval to take on Tigers FC in a fascinating opening weekend.
The second season of NPL2 also begins with a 3pm kick-off on Saturday afternoon (18 July), as Narrabundah FC host Weston Molonglo FC, while competition heavyweights ANU FC travel to Gissing Oval to take on Wagga City Wanderers.
The draws for Senior Leagues, ActewAGL Junior Leagues and MiniRoos U10 and U11 competitions will be released on 10 July 2020.
