Female Football Week begins on Friday and Capital Football has a range of events to celebrate the part that Women and Girls play in the World Game. With celebrations around the outdoor game, a come and try Futsal event, Female Referee Event, and a special awards brunch, we are set for an exciting week of activities.

Female Futsal Session
Come along and try Futsal! Futsal is a fast-paced, all-action, small-sided version of the game and is a great starter and a brilliant way to develop your football skills. Capital Football are running a FREE session suitable for ages at Dickson College from 19:00-19:55. See you there!
Saturday 20 May / Sunday 21 May
Female Football Week Round Matches
To celebrate this weekend, during Round 7, clubs are encouraged to wear purple ribbons to celebrate the women and girls in football. If you get any pictures of your team wearing purple to celebrate Female Football Week, send them to Capital Football.
Wednesday 24 May
Female Referee Event
This practical session, which will begin at 18:30 at a venue to be announced, will feature prominent female referees with officiating experience at the highest level in Capital Football, Australia, and FIFA competitions – learn from the best as they share their knowledge, experience, and passion for the game. For female participants at all levels, with no refereeing experience required.
Friday 26 May
Female Football Week Networking and Awards Brunch
Winners of the Capital Football Female Football Week awards will be announced at this special event at the Rex Hotel from 9am-12pm, and also via social media. Special guests will be invited to mingle with attendees and prizes will be available, such as a Lucky Door Prize and other opportunities to win.
