Capital Football has been advised that a member of our community has tested positive for COVID-19.
The Juniors player trained at Harrison District Playing Fields on Wednesday 11 August between 5.45pm and 7.45pm, a day before the first case from this outbreak in Canberra was identified and the ACT went into lockdown. The exposure site and health advice related to this case is listed here.
The location is now listed under ‘monitor’, which advises anyone who was in the location at the time and date identified, to monitor for symptoms. ACT Health continues to work with all parties involved, while the club has also remained in constant contact, offering support to the player and their family.
Capital Football will continue to follow the most up to date health advice from the ACT Government and relay this information to the community.
This is a time to remind the community to be kind to one another, remain supportive and respect the privacy of those involved.
