Capital Football will be running a series of coaching workshops designed to help community and elite coaches further their skills in working with players at all levels.
Designed and delivered by Capital Football Technical Director Scott O’Donell, the first workshop will focus on coach management of players, and the second will seek to educate coaches on tailoring pre-match and half-time team talks to achieve an outcome.
Both workshops are worth 10 points to re-accreditation of a coaching licence, and require some pre-workshop and post-workshop task completion from attendees.
Workshop – Player Management |
This workshop will help coaches to create an environment within their group that is harmonious and conducive to learning, make them be aware that all players will respond differently to their approach and will equip them with the tools to be able to manage different players in a variety of situations
This workshop is two hours long, and will be held at the Dickson Tradies on Monday, August 20 from 6pm-8pm.
Workshop – Pre-Match/Half-Time Team Talks |
After completing this workshop, coaches will be aware of the ‘Do’s and Don’ts’ of pre-match and half-time team talks, will be able to analyse the first half of a match and influence changes for the second half through their half-time talk and will demonstrate the ability to deliver a talk that is relevant to the task at hand.
This workshop is two hours long, and will be held at the Dickson Tradies on Monday, 3rd September from 6pm-8pm.
