Four Canberra Futsal players are headed overseas in the coming weeks to compete in the AFF Futsal Club Championships and the AFC Futsal Club Championships.
Hosted by ASEAN Football Federation, the tournament is the current futsal club competition held annually for South-East Asian nations.
Brett Forward of North Canberra Untouchables will be representing Vic Vipers Futsal Club in the AFC Competition beginning in August, while Nick Van Aalst, Nick Rathjen and Daniel Fulton will all take to the court for the East Coast Heat F.C. in the AFF tourmanent, who finished fourth there in 2017.
The Heat will be in Group A of the tournament as the Australian representative, alongside Brunei’s Arbisyam, Myanmar’s MIC, and U.Y.F.C Komchaymear of Cambodia.
The AFF Club Championship tournament begins on the 15th July, with the first match kicking off at 1:30pm AEST.
