Weston Molonglo FC has been named October’s Club Changer Club of the Month for Workforce and Volunteers.
Volunteers at Weston Molonglo FC are always quick to get behind new programs and initiatives, and the recent Daughters and Dads program is a great example.
The club has actively promoted the program across its community, and that effort has paid off: Weston Molonglo FC now runs the largest Daughters and Dads program in Canberra for Term 4, a clear sign of how dedicated and effective its volunteer workforce is.

Weston Molonglo FC has also taken the initiative to seek out local schools with upcoming fetes, working with Capital Football to have club and Capital Football staff run activations at them.
It’s energising to see this kind of forward thinking bringing new ideas into Canberra’s football community.
Planning, preparing and delivering initiatives like these takes real time and effort, and is a testament to an incredibly dedicated and effective team of volunteers.
The club’s volunteer commitment is exemplified by people like Rebecca Taylor, who was named 2026 Female Football Week Volunteer of the Year.
She is far from alone. Weston Molonglo FC has many volunteers who bring the same dedication and passion to football in Canberra, and they consistently go above and beyond. On top of the weekly hours spent cooking on the BBQ, working in the canteen, selling merchandise and helping with set-up and pack-down, the club still finds the capacity to run extra events such as trivia nights and a hugely successful end-of-season Presentation Day that drew more than 1,000 people.
Weston Molonglo FC is leading the way in how it organises and supports its volunteers, and is a worthy recipient of this month’s award.
