The Commbank Matildas are headed back to Canberra for the first time since April 2022 to take on Argentina in an International Friendly match.

In partnership with Football Australia, Capital Football are looking for volunteers to help deliver the match, to be held at GIO Stadium on Monday, 2nd June, 2025.

These are the following roles that we require volunteers for:

• Assist with the set-up and pack-down of event Fan Zone areas.
• Distribute promotional materials from Football Australia’s Commercial / Marketing team.
• Assist with guiding character mascots around the Fan Zone.
• Coordinate safe participation in promotions and Fan Zone activities.
• Promote participation in promotions and Fan Zone activities.
• If required, support the movement of groups of children through the venue and/or during on field activities.

• The purpose of the Corporate Events Assistant is to support the Corporate Events Manager in the operational delivery of the Football Australia Official Match Day Function.
• Support the check-in process by checking guests’ tickets, marking names off the guest list.
• Providing each guest with a wristband once they have been checked-in.
• Assist with directing guests to the location of their seats.
• Collapsing all backdrop frames, folding each fabric skin, and packing them into their designated black bags.
• Taking down of all branding signage e.g. corflute panels and lectern panel.
• Assisting with re-packing the items back into the FA stillage

Hospitality Volunteer

• Support the check-in process for Premium Hospitality by checking guests’ tickets and wrist-banding or providing accreditation as required.
• Providing general guest support in the Suites (with guidance from the Manager – Ticketing & Sales).
• Escorting guests in movements through the venue for any applicable “Behind the Scenes” Premium Experiences.
• Ensuring all guests have a valuable and smooth match day experience

Please note: 

• All volunteers must be over the age of 18 and have a valid Working With Vulnerable People
• We have limited number of positions available
• All the volunteers are asked to attend a 30minute Online Pre-Event Briefing on the 26th May, 7pm.
