IN A NUTSHELL
Tuggeranong scored only their second goal of the season, but unfortunately for them Olympic got three in reply to go top of the pile as the Blue Devils had the week off. ANU WFC were hugely competitive for eighty minutes against Gunners, unluckily the game goes for ninety and Gungahlin scored three in that final ten-minute period to finally break the shackles. Perhaps the best ANU performance of the season to date though. And Croatia netted four on the synthetic, including two headers, to see off Wanderers.
GOAL OF THE WEEK
A great drop of the shoulder to create some space and a finish that flashed past the goalkeeper into the bottom corner showcased a wonderful finish from Tianah Miro, a crucial goal that brought Canberra Olympic level on the way to three points against Tuggeranong United.
PERFORMANCE OF THE WEEK
For 80 minutes, Georgia Ritchie in the ANU WFC goal frustrated her opponents with all her might. Shots from distance, free kicks, one v one challenges, Gungahlin tried everything to find an edge against the talent young keeper, but Ritchie was superb. The smile of Natalie De Marco, failing to win her duel against the shot-stopper, just like Alex Martens and Chelsea Hately, displayed exactly what the Gunners, and anyone watching, thought: Georgia Ritchie is just too good. Hopefully the injury sustained at the end of the game does not keep her away from the competition for too long.
TEAM OF THE WEEK

New leaders Canberra Olympic hosts ANU WFC on Sunday afternoon at O’Connor Enclosed, while the team chasing them, Belconnen United seek a third win of the season over Tuggeranong at McKellar Park. Meanwhile, Croatia and Gunners meet in the match of the round at Deakin Stadium.
