Canberra Olympic continued their imperious form in the National Premier League Women’s Reserves as they recorded a fourth win in succession with a three goal away victory at Ainslie over Majura FC.
Sienna Dy-Mortimer gave Olympic the lead, one that was added to when Lily D’Addario scored her first goal of the season. And the points were secured when Sienna Ness bagged her
A six-goal win for Belconnen United kept the Blue Devils as Olympic’s closest challenges as the home side romped to victory over Gungahlin United on their return to McKellar Park.
Golden Boot leader Eden Rodda netted two goals for the hosts, striking both times after Lilian Altamore had scored for Belconnen, the Blue Devils leading 3-0 at the interval and increasing their lead through Rodda’s ninth of the season just after the break.
Siena D’Ambrosio made it five in the 67th minute and the scoring was rounded off by Emily Tozer who brought up the half-dozen with two minutes of time remaining.
There were two players at the double at Deakin Stadium as both Ariana Majetic and Rhiannon Fensom struck twice as Canberra Croatia defeated West Canberra Wanderers 5-0.
Majetic scored first, in the eighteenth minute, before Fensom made it two on the half-hour mark. Fensom had her double a minute into the second-half as Croatia virtually sealed the points.
There was a second for Majetic in the 55th minute with Tayah Sanders completing the scoring only moments later.
Tuggeranong United also scored five times as they claimed a first win of the season with a 5-2 success against ANU WFC at Kambah 2 on a sunny afternoon in the southside of the national capital.
Abrianna Albert was first on target for United, but Janat Alsarai managed to draw ANU WFC level in an exciting first-half. All the action kicked off in the second stanza though as quickfire goals from Lauren Watt and Brianna Lazzari gave United a comfortable lead.
That was extended as Zoe Williams made it four, before Watt increased the advantage. A late goal from Eloise Taylor was a mere consolation for ANU WFC.
