The League Champions Belconnen United ended their season with the silverware but had to settle for a share of the points in their final outing before the finals series as they were held to a 0-0 draw by White Eagles.
Resting some players ahead of their Finals match next weekend, the Blue Devils could not break down the Eagles, ending the seaosn on forty-seven points, three points clear of Olympic in second place.
Canberra Olympic made sure that second place would be theirs, and a place in the Qualification Final against Belconnen United by defeating closet challengers ANU FC 3-0 at the University grounds
Olympic edged in front just before the twenty minute mark as Luca Florez found a way pas the University defence to open the scoring. And Olympic was to make it two nine minutes before the interval, Adam Neou bagging the second.
The points were secured in the final minute as Hassan Alnuwaysir bagged against his former club leaving Olympic heading into the Qualification showdown in a confident mood.
Brindabella Blues had a question of what might have been as they closed the gap on Canberra Juventus, who had finished fourth in the league table, with a 3-1 win over Juventus at Ipan Park in Calwell.
The Blues were ahead in the thirteenth minute as Curtis Schaeffer opening the scoring for the hosts, drawing level in the Golden Boot charts in the process. Josh Gaspari levelled for Juventus before the break, but Henry Wilks restored the Blues lead twenty-five minutes from time.
There was still time for one more and, three minutes into stoppage time, Schaeffer scored his second, and nineteenth of the season, to snatch the Golden Boot at the very death of the regular season.
Wagga City Wanderers defeated West Canberra Wanderers at Melrose Synthetic to claim bragging rights as they ended their CPL tenure with a memorable 4-2 away win in the Capital.
A brace of early goals gave Wagga City Wanderers the perfect start to the match as Zac Steel struck first after only nine minutes, the second goal following just ten minutes later as Thomas Yongai doubled the Wagga City advantage.
Jordan Burgos-Diaz pulled one back for West Canberra within nine minutes of the restart after the break, only for goals form Maxwell Prest and Kade Lyons to have Wagga firmly in the driving seat. A late goal from Juan Diaz-Tellez reduced the arrears, but Wagga had done enough.
