Check out all the results of our 14 & 15 girls at the National Youth Championships in Coffs Harbour between the 15th & 19th July.

While the 15 Girls finished fifth in a tough group, the 14 Girls were crowned Champions of Pool B after an excellent week of performances. Read on for the full details of their weeks.

Day 1 | Monday, 15th July

U/14 Girls |

Capital Football 1 (Nikita Perry 19′) drew. Tasmania 1 (H. Bonertz-Benn 5′)

The Capital Football U/14 Girls kicked off the tournament in the first game of the day against Tasmania, and after going behind just five minutes in clawed a goal back through Nikita Perry to level scores in the 19th minute, and the game remained 1-1 until the final whistle.

Capital Football 3 (Bessie Reithmuller 24′, Mena Biscotti 42′, Jenny Hill 49′) def. Football West 1 (O. Brown)

The U/14 Girls rebounded well for their afternoon game, and a goal each from Bessie Reithmuller, Mena Biscotti and Jenny Hill was enough to help overcome a fresh Football West side playing their first match of the tournament.

U/15 Girls |

Capital Football 0 def. by Queensland 1 (A. Taylor 34′)

The U/15 Girls had just the one game on Monday, taking on Queensland in the afternoon. Despite a strong effort they came off second best, with a 34th minute goal helping the Queenslanders to a one-nil victory.


Day 2 | Tuesday, 16th July

U/14 Girls |

Capital Football 2 (Bessie Reithmuller 33′, Isabella Hindmarsh 39′) def. Northern NSW 1 (J. Watts 8′)

Northern NSW took an early lead against the Capital Football U/14 Girls in their Tuesday clash, but a second goal of the tournament from Bessie Reithmuller and a go-ahead goal six minutes later from Isabella Hindmarsh ensured the girls picked up all the points against the hosts.

U/15 Girls |

NSW Metro 5 (C. Cicco 9′, 19′, 32′, I. Chidiac 12′, K. Johnson 22′) def. Capital Football 1 (C. Mitchell 13′)

It was another tough outing against strong opposition for the U/15 Girls on Tuesday, up against NSW Metro. After two early goals to Metro, Charli Mitchell pulled one back to make it 2-1, but the NSW side proved too strong as they ran away with the game.

Day 3 | WEDNESday, 17th July

U/14 Girls |

Capital Football 3 (Nikita Perry 4′, 12′, Eliza-Jane Norris 24′) def. NSW Country 1 (A. Carty 38′)

The 14 Girls continued their strong form on Wednesday, with Nikita Perry scoring a brace and Eliza-Jane Norris adding a third to help them past NSW Country.


U/15 Girls |

Capital Football 2 (Daisy Canavan 45′, Charli Mitchell 53′) drew. Newcastle Jets 2 (E. Murray 24′, J. Stuart 48′)

Our 15 Girls came up against a strong Newcastle Jets side and fought back well late, going behind twice but scoring through Daisy Canavan and Charli Mitchell to restore parity both times and pick up a share of the points.

Day 4 | thursday, 18th July

U/14 Girls |

Capital Football 4 (Mena Biscotti 12′, 34′, 50′, Nikita Perry 50′) def. Northern Territory 0

Mena Biscotti bagged a hat-trick and Nikita Perry continued her strong week as the 14 Girls won big over the Northern Territory on Thursday to help cement their spot at the top of Group B.

U/15 Girls |

Capital Football 0 def. by Northern NSW 3 (S. Wilkie 31′, I. Burke 46′, E. Hughes 59′)

Northern NSW proved too strong for the 15 Girls on Thursday, scoring three goals in the second half after an evenly contested opening 30 minutes.
