Canberra Croatia came from 0-1 behind to claim the trophy in the National Premier League Girls U14 competition, a brace of goals in the second-half allowing the League Champions to add the Grand Final award to their earlier success in the regular season. Aggie Shaw had put the Blue Devils in front in the 22nd minute, a goal that was to give Belconnen a slender lead heading into the break. However, Croatia fought back and two goals within four minutes of each other turned the game on its head after the break. Croatia levelled from the spot, Annabella Diamond keeping her cool to draw her team onto terms, before Aislinn O’Dwyer put the Champions in front with the goal that was to ultimately prove to be the matchwinner.
