From Monaro Panthers FC
Monaro Panthers FC have named Angelo Maralit as the Women’s Premier League Head Coach and Women’s Football Director for next season. Maralit will be returning to the Head Coach role he had in 2013 where he had a successful season winning the Fed Cup, finishing second in the league and runner up in the grand final.
Maralit is currently at North Shore Mariners FC as Head of Girls SAP and U12 Girls Head Coach while also employed at Football NSW as a Technical Coordinator working under FNSW State Technical Director and former Socceroos Captain Alex Tobin.
Maralit comes to the Panthers to restructure the women’s program and develop a high performance pathway for ambitious young players from U11’s to 1st Grade. The program will consist of up to 3 sessions per week and run for 10 months of the year with training programs and plans based on a combination of the FFA National Curriculum and modern football coaching methods to develop the physical, psychological, technical and tactical components to become better footballers.
On his appointment Mr Maralit said “I’m looking forward to taking on the challenges ahead to create a program that will set the benchmark for the development of female footballers across the Canberra region. It’s been a dream and passion of mine to be in a role like this, to influence the structure and framework of a club and to lead a team that will develop serious players to reach the next level. At Monaro, we will give players the opportunity to develop in a quality learning environment and prepare them for the higher levels of football.”
Maralit begins his work with Monaro Panthers starting Monday 29th August. His email is Angelo.MonaroPanthers@gmail.com
