Given the restrictions around indoor training over the past few months, how has pre-season training been? 

 

During lockdown, our team has been reliant on individual training. We are fortunate that the core of our team has been playing together for several years in Capital Football FPL and Division 1 Men’s competitions. We’ve been in contact with each other during lockdown, and we have discussed areas that we want to improve from last season and how we will approach the new season. 

  

How happy are you with how the team is tracking and what are your expectations for the team this season? 

 

Our team is looking good, we have a mixture of experience including several players with Futsal Premier League and Nationals playing experience. We are also fortunate to have an experienced Futsal coach who assists with the technical and tactical aspect of how we approach games. After losing the final last year to Boomerangs in a tight 3-2 game, our season expectations are to keep improving as a group and challenge for the league title again. 

 

What excites you the most about this FPL season? 

The opportunity to play different teams is what excites us most. As a group we improve most when we are challenged by playing against different playing styles, which also means we must adapt and approach each game.
