ACT Health has informed Capital Football that the exemption request to allow more spectators into Deakin Stadium for NPL2 Grand Finals this Sunday (4 October) has been approved by the ACT Government.
As a result, each competing team will be issued 100 tickets for spectators. Allocated tickets will only be provided to clubs participating in the scheduled matches, who will be responsible for distributing them.
Each ticket will only be valid for the match listed on the ticket, so after the conclusion of each Grand Final, spectators will be required to exit Deakin Stadium in preparation for the next match.
Increasing attendance numbers at Deakin Stadium has resulted in several other changes being made to Capital Football’s COVID-Safe Plan, including:
- No alcohol to be served at the venue
- Spectators will only be allowed access to the venue 30 minutes before kick-off.
- Pass-outs will not be available, so if an individual leaves the venue, they will not be permitted re-entry.
- Tickets will not be transferable.
