COVID-19 has had a significant impact on the delivery of football in 2020 and will continue to impact aspects of the 2020 NPL1 Men’s Championship Series, which commences this weekend.
In line with Capital Football’s COVID-Safe Plan, the following restrictions will be put in place for the duration of the 2020 Championship Series:
- Attendance at matches will be restricted with a maximum capacity of 200 people at each venue, inclusive of players, team and club officials, referees, club CVOs, Capital Football staff, media personnel and venue staff/volunteers.
- Spectator numbers will be limited and will be restricted to just those clubs that are playing matches at the venue.
- Clubs will be allocated a certain number of tickets and will be responsible for issuing them to individuals from their club, including players.
- Access to certain areas at both Riverside Football Stadium and Deakin Stadium will be restricted.
- Changerooms will not be open for teams to use. Players should arrive at the venue already dressed for the match.
- The car park at Deakin Stadium will not be available for any clubs to utilise throughout the Championship Series.
The 2020 Championship Series will be delivered differently to previous years, so we ask for your understanding and cooperation as we work to deliver a successful Championship Series.
