Capital Football will be conducting the updated version of Football Australia’s C Licence Coaching Course, commencing this Saturday at the University of Canberra.
With Football Australia Technical Adviser Dr. Ron Smith leading discussions, Member Federation technical directors and coach education managers from across the country converged in Canberra over the weekend, to finalise the content and modules for the newly designed C Licence.
The C Licence will focus on the teaching of technique and the Principles of Play, which are the foundations of the game.
There will be different methods of delivery, including online sessions, face-to-face theory sessions as well as practical sessions, which will make the course more accessible for coaches going forward.
Capital Football Technical Director, Scott O’Donell said it was a really productive weekend.
“Not only was it an opportunity to have input into what the courses will look like in the future, it was an excellent chance to share ideas with the other technical directors and coach education managers from around the country,” he said.
“Due to travel restrictions, the NSW based coach educators met at Valentine Sports Park, in Sydney under the guidance of Football Australia’s technical director Trevor Morgan.
“Trevor and Ron have been working hard to improve the advanced coaching courses here in Australia. It will take some time to fully implement, but once completed I am confident that our coaches and players will be the beneficiaries’.
Capital Football will be delivering the new Football Australia C Licence course from Saturday February 6, 2021.
