The Bellingham Cup is an annual gala day and fundraiser run by the University of Canberra Stars Football Club held in honour of Aaiden Bellingham, who passed away in 2017 because of a sudden cardiac episode.
Since its inception in 2018 the event has raised over $30,000 and the ACT State Emergency Services and in particular the Belconnen Unit have been an integral part of the success of the fundraising and awareness efforts of the event.
The gala day is used every year to kick off the season for the University of Canberra Football Club and aims to raise money and awareness for the work that the Centenary Institute does in researching genetic heart disease, particularly amongst children and young adults.
Call in to say hello at Hawker Football Centre on 29 March and have one of our now famous bacon and egg rolls.
Can’t make it? You can still donate at the Centenary Institute and the donation will be made in Aaiden’s name. All donations are tax deductible.
