Sporting Schools Football Programs

Capital Football/Canberra United are available to run clinics during and after school hours for local primary schools throughout the year. Clinics can be run for kindy to year six students. Sessions cover a number of motor and locomotor skills which are linked to the Australian Curriculum. Teachers will also be presented with a resource which contains all the activities students have taken part in over the duration of the clinic. This resource provides teachers with future session ideas and the means to carry on a sustainable football program. To apply for a Sporting Schools Football Program register your schools as a Sporting Schools School today!

Single School Gala Days

Can be run independently or are a perfect way to cap off a sporting schools program.

Capital Football staff come to your school and run a gala day for your students. Like all our other programs single school gala days are formatted to suit your school and student’s needs. Single School Gala Days promote participation and can include clinics, round robin tournaments, survivor tournaments and fun skill competitions. Gala days are offered throughout the year.

Teacher Ambassador Program

Become a Canberra United Football Teacher Ambassador. The Teacher Ambassador programs are run by our qualified community coaching staff. Ambassador programs upskill teachers to obtain a MiniRoos community coaching certificate. Hours count towards your professional development and the program is completely free. These programs can run alongside single school gala days while students are participating in games, meaning teachers do not need to take time out of their day to be involved, or outside of class hours.

MiniRoos Community Coaching Course

Capital Football Community Coach Educators are available to deliver introductory football coaching courses for high school students. These courses provide students with the knowledge they required to deliver football sessions to children aged 4-9. Courses are free and can be delivered to suit school class timetables.
