FFA Capital Football Round 5 Matchups & Results

Following a draw at Capital Football offices on Monday, the matchups for Capital Football's Round 5 of the FFA Cup have now been confirmed.

Reigning Federation Cup holders Canberra Olympic held the one seed for the draw, and were also the first club drawn out of the pot.

They were drawn to face Woden-Weston, conquerors of Queanbeyan City last round, and a side who Olympic defeated 8-2 in the league only a couple of weeks ago.

Gungahlin United who progressed after a big win over Capital League side O'Connor Knights were next out, and they will face the Monaro Panthers who toppled Belconnen United in a dramatic Round Four Penalty shootout.

Tuggeranong United were next up following their 2-0 defeat of State League side Lanyon United last week; they will face the Riverina Rhinos who dispatched Weston-Molonglo in Griffith on Saturday afternoon.

The final matchup saw Canberra FC drawn out first off the back of a 5-0 demolition of White Eagles last Tuesday, and for the third year in a row they will face Tigers FC in this competition, after the Cooma side defeated ANU 3-1 at the AIS two weeks ago.
