The Football-Conect team would like to welcome Banking Solutions for Football Fans as our official naming rights partner for 2017.
Sticking with tradition the 2016 season of Football-Connect kicked off in the rain, which seemed to be the theme for the remainder of the season. However the wet weather did not deter players as caoches and parents were witness to quality football matches and teamwork displays week in, week out. The Football-Connect league ran over 10 weekends and games were played at both Hawker Football Centre and local partner clubs (Belwest, Belsouth and Belnorth) home grounds. Football-Connect welcomed a number of new players to both the pre-season and the league this year, as well as farewelled a few existing players as they made the transition to junior/state league mainstream competitions. The Football-Connect coaches hope we can continue to increase the number of players registering for the league in 2017, and that player's continue learning and increasing the quality of football.
The Football-Connect pre-season training program commences Saturday April 29, 2017 9:00am-10:30am at the Hawker Football Centre and everyone is welcome.
The objective of the Pre-Season program is to allow new players to be introduced to football, participate in fun training sessions with specialist coaches, learn new techniques and meet new friends. This also allows the players to be assessed so that they can be evenly distributed amongst the teams ready for the season launch at the end of May.
Pre-season training will run over four weekends.
The league will consist of eleven rounds from May 27 through to September 2 with a break after round five for the school holidays/Kanga Cup. Football-Connect will be entering teams in the Kanga Cup during the holidays, so players will have the chance to represent the ACT and compete in Australia's largest international youth football tournament in the southern hemisphere.
The Season launch and first round is scheduled for Saturday May 27th. Matches will be played at the Hawker Football Centre and local football club home grounds on Saturdays between 9-10:30am.

Cost: $40 Pre-Season only (four weeks), $70 All Ability League only (11 weeks) or $90 All Ability League and Pre-Season (15 weeks plus club presentation day).
