Futsal is a format of five-a-side football that is played on a pitch approximately the size of a basketball or netball court with a ball which is smaller and heavier than the outdoor football and has a reduced bounce. Capital Football offers both summer and winter competitions at a variety of levels from the absolute beginner through to the highly competitive all at indoor venues. For those aspiring to play representative Futsal, we also offer a Futsal Premier League for senior men and women plus a junior version for under-16, under-14 and under-12 boys and girls. We also host the FFA National Futsal Championships in January each year.
Capital Football conducts all senior domestic futsal leagues in the ACT, and is the governing body of all affiliate competitions. Capital Football is also responsible for delivering Futsal coaching and referee courses. 'North Canberra Junior Futsal Club' and 'South Canberra Junior Futsal Club' operate junior competitions during the summer season. Information regarding these junior competitions can be found by visiting the websites of both clubs.
Currently, the ACT boasts approximately 6,000 registered futsal players, comprising both junior and senior competitors.

The 2013 Futsal Winter season will commence in May 2013 and run through until the September 2013. Competitions are on offer for Men's, Women's and Mixed teams in both North Canberra and South Canberra locations.
